Week Beginning 6/1/08

Group picture of Young Men from 3 wards that helped
Leslie, Me, & Paul @ the Zoo sitting around.
Table Display of Mormonads
Next Door Troop Display was a lashing project made of rope and wood. The boys had fun climbing it.
On of the Grizzly Bears took a nap while the other two were horse playing around with each other.

Last week was a filled week of havoc! Anytime Paul or I are getting ready for a big event the week prior is always crazy! First I found out officially that I am attending Girls Camp so that is another meeting to add to our schedule and Paul had his Scouting at the Zoo thing this past Saturday and we went to setup on Friday Night so that it would be easier for them to just come in display the posters and materials. The subject displayed was how Duty to God is incorporated with the Scouting program. Sounds like the boys had a great time! The weathehr was perfect! When we got home or place was at 76 degrees and that is high for the end of May here in Wisconsn! I've tried loading some pictures up but something is wrong with Blogger, I'll try later! Today I'm working on a slideshow for 3 of my Laurels that are graduatiing form High School. I only hope that it does them proud and that they enjoy it. We are having a celebration for the Girls this Wednesday during activities. They all look so cute in their pictures! I am sure their parents are proud! -enjoy.

One more appointment

Today was my 2nd to last appointment with the Diabetic Dietician. My last class is in 2 months - this is because it gives us time to work on goals we set during class. These classes although helpful are pretty dreadful! 4 hours long!!! Theyy are so long, I sometimes feel like falling asleep in class but I manage to make it through each time. One more class and I'm done! Yeah!!! I am grateful though. I am in better shape than most of the people in the class. Also, I see another pattern, I'm also younger and it makes me look at this disease in a better light! I caught this disease young and have the oppurtunity to make it better. Better than most of the folks dealing with it right now! Though, I am not sure how true that statement is as I am the only one on insulin. This is definitely a life changing thing. Aren't all big things llife changing??? Anyway after class I went to go catch the bus and it seems that the bus wasn't going to be there for another 20 minutes. I didn't want to wait and so I walked. It took me about 1/2 hr to walk and so I was happy which means I got a little exercise in for the day and no need to go on the treadmill! Yeah! :-)

Updates

Last night was great! We had dinner with an old friend! He called us up out of the blue and wanted to meet up. It was so great to see Tim! It's been awhile. We updated him on us and he updated us on him and his family. He showed us pictures of his family. His new baby girl and his boys are so grown now! We plan to visit again in October when we'll be in his neck of the woods.

Still doing good 1 month later!

Hey all,

It's one month later and I am still doing great! Let's see its been awhile since I was wrote on the blog. Let's see - well, it feels like Philmont is just around the corner. I have to start planning for that! I know Paul is excited! We're planning to go with friends, which is great, because otherwise, I'd be bored! Still serving in YW's at the ward level and Paul with YM's at the Stake Level.
